【How to use】
- Inform the patient or family of the reasons, methods, possible discomfort, ways to relieve discomfort, possible complications and post-catheterization nursing cooperation to patients or their families. 2. Check the specifications and models used and check whether the packaging is damaged and whether the catheter balloon is damaged.
- Ask the patient to take a deep breath when intubating.
- Disinfect the patient's perineum.
- Choose the appropriate lubricant to lubricate the urinary catheter.
- Gently insert the urinary catheter, and then insert 5cm-6cm after urine.
- The balloon is injected with sterile water of appropriate capacity, and the catheter is gently pulled outward until resistance is encountered.
- Connect the catheter to the urine bag and open the catheter.
- Extubation: First use a syringe to drain the liquid in the balloon, close the catheter or drainage bag, and gently pull the catheter outward.
- The sampling type can be used to draw urine from the sampling interface of the syringe without needle, or it can be injected with flushing solution from the sampling interface to clean the drainage cavity. The drain funnel needs to be clamped.
