【Scope of application

Temporary catheterization for patients who are unable to urinate spontaneously.

【How to use

1. Inform the patient or family of the reasons, methods, possible discomfort, ways to relieve discomfort, possible complications and post-catheterization nursing cooperation to patients or their families.

2. Check the specifications and models used and check whether the packaging is damaged.

3. Ask the patient to take a deep breath when intubating.

4. Disinfect the patient's perineum.

5. Choose the appropriate lubricant to lubricate the urinary catheter.

5. Gently insert the urinary catheter, and then insert 5cm-6cm after urine.

6. Connect the urinary catheter with the urine bag and open the urinary catheter.

  1. Patients with severe urethral inflammation, severe urethral stricture, acute prostatitis, and urethral rupture suspected of being related to blunt or penetrating trauma are prohibited.

  1. This product is sterilized by ethylene oxide, the packaging is damaged, and it is forbidden to use it;
  1. Choose the appropriate urinary catheter size, for children or suspected urethral strictures, the urinary catheter size should be small;
  1. When inserting the urethral catheter, the action should be gentle to avoid damaging the urethral mucosa, and the insertion should not be too deep or too shallow, especially avoid repeated twitching of the urinary catheter;
  1. If the bladder is overfilled and the patient is extremely weak, urination should be slow, and the first amount of urine should not exceed 1000mL, so as to avoid sudden bladder decompression and bleeding or syncope.
